Fakenham Ukes (Our leader)

(C)Fakenham Ukes are gonna shine in our (F) lives once more

cause (C) Grahams gonna lead the band (G) again

(C) things are gonna be like they (F) were before

cause (C) Grahams gonna (G) lead the band (C) again

(CHORUS)

(C) Grahams gonna lead us, (F) Grahams gonna lead us

(C) Grahams gonna lead the band (G) again

cause it’s (C) all about him, it’s (F) all about him

(C) Grahams gonna (G) lead the band (C) again

(C) I hear Ukes a strumming, (F) Dave's base a buzzing

(C) Grahams gonna lead the band (G) again

the (C) women humming, the (F) day is coming

(C) Grahams gonna (G) lead the band (C) again

(C) Join Fab Fakenham Ukes and (F) have some fun

But (C) don’t sit on the back row with (G) us

cause if (C) you’re not listening or (F) making a fuss

(C) you’ll hear the (G) old man (C) cuss

(C) don’t sit on the back row n—o

(F) don’t sit on the back row no no

(C) don’t sit in the back row with (G) us

(C) sit in the middle or (F) at the front (SHOUT) or on the end

(C) then you might be (G) Grahams (C) friend

REPEAT CHORUS

On Saturday 12th December 6 members representing the Fakenham Ukes and played at the Brisley Christmas walk. A number of well known songs and a sprinkling of Christmas songs were enjoyed by a small crowd including a few supporting uke members. The day was in aid of E.A.C.H. The East Anglian Children's Hospices and the Fakenham Ukes are proud of being instrumental in helping to raise over £600 for the charity.

Fakenham Ukes 'Buskers' gigging in the market place 17th December 20

“A few hardy souls from the Fakenham Ukes braved the cold on Thursday 17th December to do some busking and raise money for charity. It wasn’t an official engagement, but in our first set we drew a reasonable crowd and raised an astonishing £125 for the Salvation Army Food Bank. Our second set was less well attended, and we succumbed to the cold after a few numbers. Thank you to all who supported us and for the money raised.”
